The initial brief was to create a feature wall of the fireplace wall in the living room, which was unfinished, as well as to replace the existing timber flooring. We took our lead from the gorgeous marble green floor tiles in both entrance and kitchen as well as the existing collection of artworks and furniture pieces of the client, to create a warm, inviting and liveable family home. The new grey hue in the flooring then became the neutral base to showcase the existing spotted gum battening and the artwork infused and inspired our colour palette throughout to create cohesion and tones of richness to tell the story of family past and present. Through the layering of fabrics, furnishings, art and lighting the end result is a home which is very much a reflection of its occupants and their “story”, which we have loved to tell!
